These terms govern your use of the LinkCrusher Chrome extension and the linkcrusher.app website. Plain language. No fine print traps.
LinkCrusher is provided as-is during MVP. It runs locally in your browser. You own the data you create. We may update the extension. If something breaks, we'll try to fix it but make no warranty.
By installing the LinkCrusher Chrome extension or using the linkcrusher.app website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall the extension or stop using the website.
LinkCrusher is operated by an independent maker. The contact email for any matter related to these terms is hello@linkcrusher.app.
During MVP there is no account system. All extension data lives locally in chrome.storage.local. You are responsible for backing up anything irreplaceable until import/export and cloud sync features ship.
When the optional account system launches, additional terms specific to syncing and storage will be added here.
You agree not to:
The LinkCrusher name, logo, dashboard design, and source code are owned by us. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for personal or business purposes.
Content you create inside the extension (boards, links, notes) is yours. We claim no rights to it.
The MVP is free. A Pro tier will be introduced later with clearly defined limits. We will never silently move existing free features behind a paywall — Pro features will be additive.
You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend the website or the extension's distribution at our discretion, with reasonable notice when feasible.
LinkCrusher is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Use at your own risk during MVP.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the extension or website. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months, which during the free MVP is zero.
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and post a notice on the website before the change takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the operator's residence. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where local consumer-protection law gives you different rights.
